    • Research progress and prospects of remotely sensed land surface temperature from 1985 to 2023

    • The research on remote sensing surface temperature has grown rapidly, with outstanding contributions from China and the United States. Chinese scholars have played an important role, and the research field has shifted to applied disciplines. The journal Remote Sensing has the highest publication volume, and AVHRR, MODIS, Landsat data are widely used. Research hotspots have shifted to new fields such as machine learning and local climate zones.
