The cover image is a real 3D of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Flaming Mountain captured by Beijing-3 satellite utilizing the same orbit multi-angle stereo imaging mode to acquire stereo image pairs. It authentically recreates the unique red sandstone landform lying across the Turpan Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Flaming. The integrated technology of the space-ground integration project of the Beijing-3 satellites has reached international leading level. Notably, the real 3D products accurately reflect the position, geometric shape, surface texture, and attributes of geographical features, which can effectively support the rapid modeling, analysis, and measurement of large-scale terrain-level and urban-level 3D scenes. The real 3D products have been widely applied in aspects such as natural resource three-dimensional survey and supervision, digital twin city construction and fine management, geological disaster emergency management, elevating the application field of satellite remote sensing from 2D to 3D space, fully reflecting the important value of satellite remote sensing spatiotemporal data as a new production factor.
