Basierend auf den Daten der Chang'e-Mondmission und anderen Informationen zur geologischen Beschaffenheit des Mondes hat ein Team des Instituts für Geochemie der Chinesischen Akademie der Wissenschaften eine geologische Karte des Mondes im Maßstab 1:2500000, kartierte Mondgeologie, eine Übersichtskarte der Mondstruktur, eine Karte mit der Verteilung von Mondgestein und 30 kartierte Bereiche erstellt, darunter auch der Kartierte Bereich LQ-20 am Jiu-Hai. Der Kartierte Bereich LQ-20 zieht aufgrund des einzigartigen Ereignisses der Jiu-Hai-Becken-Impakt-Ereignisses, das das Ende des Jiu-Hai-Zeitalters und den Beginn des Aitken-Zeitalters markiert, besondere Aufmerksamkeit auf sich.
