“The latest research reveals the urbanization process in Xinjiang: Since the 21st century, the overall development of urbanization in Xinjiang has expanded to the southwest, with rapid development in the southern region. The evolution of urbanization has gone through three stages: slow, fluctuating, and accelerated. The development of urban areas is balanced, while the development of rural areas is differentiated.”
