Modulation transfer function（MTF） is an essential parameter which characterizes imaging quality of satellite optical camera.We present a review of techniques for modulation transfer function in-flight measurement and emphasize the technique of knife edge according to situation of developing ground sample distance.The important techniques of data fitting and frequence augment are discussed on the bases of mathematics and digital signal processing theory.These techniques are important to improve accuracy of acquired modulation transfer function.
