La energía solar, como energía limpia, contribuye a alcanzar los objetivos de pico de carbono y neutralidad de carbono mediante la reducción de las emisiones de carbono. Las centrales fotovoltaicas utilizan la radiación solar para generar electricidad, siendo una forma importante de energía limpia que convierte la energía solar en electricidad mediante la tecnología de conversión fotovoltaica, logrando un proceso de generación de energía bajo en carbono y sin contaminación. Incluir las centrales fotovoltaicas en la clasificación del uso del suelo ayuda a evaluar integralmente el uso de los recursos terrestres y el impacto ambiental ecológico. Sin embargo, los estudios existentes carecen de investigaciones a largo plazo sobre la evolución del uso del suelo para las centrales fotovoltaicas y no hay predicciones futuras basadas en diferentes escenarios políticos para la construcción de centrales fotovoltaicas. Este artículo realiza una interpretación visual de las centrales fotovoltaicas de la ciudad de Ordos basada en datos Landsat 5 y GF-2 del período 2000-2023, y analiza el cambio de área, la conversión de tipos y la variación espacial de las centrales fotovoltaicas en toda la ciudad. Además, el artículo traza una proyección elíptica de Gauss y a través del análisis de la evolución del centroide de la proyección elíptica, analiza las características espacio-temporales de las centrales fotovoltaicas en Ordos cada 5 años en el período 2000-2023. Finalmente, mediante el modelo PLUS se analizan los factores impulsores y se realiza una predicción futura de los tipos de uso del suelo en Ordos bajo diferentes escenarios políticos. Los resultados muestran que el patrón espacial regional del cambio en el uso del suelo en Ordos entre 2000-2011 y 2011-2023 es básicamente consistente, pero las variaciones regionales muestran nuevas características. A partir de 2011, algunos tipos de uso del suelo comenzaron a convertirse en centrales fotovoltaicas. Además, el análisis basado en el modelo PLUS muestra que el crecimiento poblacional, la temperatura de la superficie terrestre, el flujo de calor del suelo, las políticas y la precipitación son los principales factores que causan cambios en el uso del suelo en Ordos, y se realizaron predicciones para el año 2030 bajo tres escenarios políticos. En los tres escenarios, las áreas de construcción, bosque, cuerpos de agua, tierras de cultivo, pastizales y centrales fotovoltaicas muestran una tendencia al aumento. La predicción para 2030 indica que las áreas de desierto y arena disminuirán en 173.57 km² y 1.91 km² respectivamente en comparación con 2023; las otras categorías de uso del suelo aumentarán, incluyendo un incremento aproximado de 2.46 km² en las centrales fotovoltaicas. La predicción de los tipos de uso del suelo en Ordos bajo diferentes escenarios proporciona una base científica para la planificación territorial, la gestión de recursos y la protección ambiental en la ciudad.
