The extraction of thematic information from TM images and the selection of versions of optimal composition material have been a subject which needs a deep research in the fields of remote sensing application. But so far there is no set of complete norms and standards to be followed

especially in the quantitative calculating and estimating of colorimetry on image

and in the determination of optimal composition.The problems as mentioned above are studied more deeply by means of traditional multiple exposuring TM image of experiment area

Shuang yang County in Jilin Province. As the standardization of thematic information extraction from TM images is concerned

this paper proposes a theory of optimizing various composition versions by a method of quantitative calculating colour difference

and gives corresponding mathematical model.
