Abstract
In the context of contemporary improved international cooperation in earth observation
this paper assesses the potential contributions from China to the Global Earth Observation System of Systems(GEOSS).Based on an analysis of existing barriers to Chinese contributions to GEOSS
this paper makes recommendations for the development of international cooperation in earth observation area by China leading to the mutual benefits for China and the international community through Chinese involvement in GEOSS.
