Using the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) to obtain the long-term SO2 concentration
we analyzed the near-surface SO2 concentration variation before the 2010 Asian Games and the space distribution of Pearl River Delta SO2 concentration during the period of the 2010 Asian Games. It shows that OMI has the ability of monitoring near-surface SO2 concentration variation. Because of linkage air quality guarantee measures in the Pearl River Delta
during the 2010 Asian games
the air quality of Pearl River Delta is better than historical periods.
